![]() What am I missing? Surely adding a new datastore to multiple hosts isn't this complicated. According to Google results I should be able to right-click the datastore, choose "All vCenter Actions", then "Mount Datastore to Additional Host" but that isn't listed as an option. I then starting looking through the web client. I assume this is because there isn't a datastore name. When I click Finish it appears to complete successfully but the datastore never shows up on the host. Notice how it doesn't show any datastore name. As I understand it, some newer 5.5 VMware Vsphere features are only available in the web client. I will try rebooting the server and see if that resolves the issue with the web client. However, when I choose either of the first 2 options, I get the attached screenshot below. UPDATE 2: Following ewwhites suggestion see below, I tried the. I'm assuming that I don't want to use option 3 since it's already created and mounted on my first host. After that I have 3 options: "Keep the existing signature", "Assign a new signature" and "Format the disk". ![]() In the vSphere client, when I choose Add Storage, I select "Disk/LUN" then select the device. I've added a new datastore to 1 host but can't seem to figure out how to add it to the other 2 hosts. The operating system won't close the window (as the application isn't responding) and requires a force close. The console stops responding - and a lot of times, the management window stops responding as well. It's always at the same place - using the console on a VM. I'm running vSphere Essentials Plus 5.5 U2 with 3 hosts in an HA cluster and shared storage. When I use the vSphere Client (against an ESXi 4.1 server) it hangs a lot.
